ADAS Calibration

Calibration Questions

ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems: features like automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitoring. These systems rely on cameras, radar, and other sensors that have to be aimed precisely. Calibration re-aims those sensors to the manufacturer's specification so the systems see the road correctly.

Calibration is usually needed after a windshield replacement, a front or rear bumper repair, a collision, a wheel alignment or suspension change, or any time a camera or radar sensor is removed or replaced. A driver assistance warning light on the dash is another sign. Requirements vary by manufacturer, so call or text us the year, make, model, and what was done and we'll tell you.

If your car has a forward-facing camera mounted at the top of the windshield, almost certainly yes. Most manufacturers require the camera to be recalibrated whenever the windshield is replaced. Our guide Does My Car Need ADAS Calibration After a Windshield Replacement? explains why.

A camera or radar that is aimed even slightly off can misjudge distances and lane positions. That can mean emergency braking that reacts late or not at all, lane keep assist that steers incorrectly, or warnings that go off for no reason. Static calibration is done in the shop with the vehicle parked in front of precisely positioned targets. Dynamic calibration is done by driving the vehicle on the road under specific conditions while the system relearns. Some vehicles need one, some need the other, and some need both. Our calibration requirements guide covers this in more detail.

Most calibrations are completed the same day. The time depends on the vehicle and whether it needs static calibration, dynamic calibration, or both. We'll give you an expected time when you book.

Yes. Every job comes with a pre-scan report, a calibration record showing which systems were calibrated, and a post-scan confirming the systems pass. Keep it for your records, your insurer, or your repair shop.

When calibration is required as part of a covered windshield or collision repair, it is often included in the claim, but coverage depends on your policy and insurer. We provide the documentation insurers typically ask for. Check with your insurance company to confirm your coverage.

Programming & Coding

Programming & Coding Questions

Modern vehicles are run by dozens of computer modules. When one is replaced or added, it has to be programmed with the right software and coded to match your specific vehicle so it works with everything else. Coding can also turn factory features on or off. See our Programming & Coding page for the full list of services.

In many cases, yes. Used modules usually carry the identity of the car they came from, so they have to be refreshed, cloned, or matched before they will work in your vehicle. Send us the year, make, model, VIN, and module part number and we'll confirm before you buy or install anything.

Yes. We program spare keys, handle all-keys-lost situations, and match immobilizer systems after a key or module is replaced. The vehicle needs to be with us, and we'll ask for proof of ownership before any key work.

We work on all makes and models, including domestic, Japanese, Korean, and European vehicles, plus EVs. If you have a specific vehicle in mind, call or text us and we'll confirm.

No. We focus on ADAS calibration, module programming and coding, and diagnostics.

For Shops

Questions From Shops

Yes. Shops send us calibration and programming work as a sublet, and we return the vehicle with full documentation. We don't do glass or collision repair ourselves, so we're a partner, not a competitor. See For Shops for details.

No. There are no minimums, no contract, and no setup fee. Send us one job a month or twenty.

Yes. When a repair involves both a replaced module and ADAS sensors, we can program the module and calibrate the sensors in the same visit, so the vehicle doesn't have to go to two different places.
